A Few Of The Strange OSPF Behaviors Waiting Inside
- The loopback interface configured with a /8 mask that OSPF quietly advertises as a /32 route instead. (The interface configuration is correct. So where did the other 24 bits of the mask go?)
- The secondary IP addresses that appear inside OSPF automatically when you enable OSPF directly on an interface. (How do you stop only the secondary addresses from being advertised without removing the OSPF command or using a route filter?)
- The Type-6 LSA Cisco IOS does not support, but still complains about every time one arrives. (Can you make the router silently ignore it without changing what the neighboring device sends?)
- The OSPF link that needs a 250-millisecond Hello interval, even though the normal CLI appears to accept nothing below one second. (If the command won't let you enter 250 ms, how does IOS actually do it?)

- Save Config Files - Load the supplied configurations when you want to inspect a working state, compare your configuration with the completed scenario, or jump directly to a particular OSPF behavior.
- Blank Lab File - Start with the topology ready but the configuration unfinished. Work through the workbook yourself and build the solution one task at a time.
